ABOUT GALANTE ART

Galante Art Conservation

Diana Galante started Galante Art Conservation, LLC in 2018. After years of work and training as a Conservator at the Smithsonian, Harvard Art Museums, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, she relocated to Central Florida to start her own business. She is here to serve cultural institutions and private clients in their conservation and preservation needs.

Diana is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation and has been peer-reviewed by other conservation professionals who verify her professional credentials and adherence to the Code of Ethics of the American Institute for Conservation.

Galante Art Conservation, LLC is dedicated to the museum-quality conservation, preservation, and restoration of sculpture, decorative arts, historic artifacts, and furniture. Whether the object is a revered museum artwork or a treasured family heirloom, it will receive expert attention and care.

About art conservation

What is Art Conservation? Conservation is a field dedicated to all aspects of preserving cultural heritage.

How does one become an art conservator? After college courses in general chemistry and organic chemistry, art history, and studio arts, trainees complete multiple internships with conservators and at museums.

Diana Galante

I am a highly-trained art conservator with experience at 12 different museums and collections, and have worked with some of the top conservators in the field. I also understand the practical limitations many museums and private collectors face when trying to “do the right thing” for their collections.
